Admissions

Admission to Belen Jesuit is selective and limited to grades 6 through 9.   Scores on the entrance examination, school records (and in certain situations an interview) are all used to determine admissions. The application process begins in October. Our annual Open House will be held on Saturday, October 16, 2010.

International Students

Belen Jesuit Preparatory School is authorized by the United States Government to issue SEVIS Form I-20 to students wishing to study in the United States under an F-1 or F-2 VISA.  International students must comply with all federal regulations before an I-20 can be issued; such requirements include, but are not limited to:  demonstration of English proficiency, proof of financial resources, and meet all the requirements for admission to Belen Jesuit.  There is a $150 non-refundable application fee for international students.  Additional fees are required by SEVIS.  Click here for more information on SEVIS.

NOTICE regarding students applying from archdiocesE OF MIAMI SCHOOLs

By mutual agreement between Belen Jesuit and the Archdiocese of Miami, the number of students transferring to Belen Jesuit from an Archdiocesan Miami elementary school is limited to two students per fifth grade homeroom.  The number of fifth grade homerooms varies from school to school and from year to year.  This policy makes admission to Belen Jesuit highly competitive.  The Admissions Committee looks at many factors including but not limited to, entrance exam scores, grades, conduct, and a writing sample.  In addition, as part of our agreement, no student may transfer from an Archdiocese of Miami school into the seventh or eighth grades.
