Humanities Department

The Humanities program is designed to expose our students to the major trends in art, music and philosophy from Prehistory through the Twentieth century. The Belen Humanities Department aims to develop in all students an appreciation for the intangible contributions of major thinkers and creators in our society.

The Humanities Department offers courses in the areas of studio art, art history, philosophy, and music. These courses not only furnish our students with "cultural proficiency" but, more significantly, enhance their capacity for analytical, critical and reflective thinking.
