The Belen Social Studies Department believes that the teaching and learning of geography, history, politics, economics, and psychology should serve the twin purposes of having students obtain a mature comprehension of social studies in order to excel in their college education and transmitting to students the human heritage for the understanding, improvement, and enjoyment of life. Our teachers expand our students' knowledge from his own community to a greater appreciation of the experiences of his nation as well as the world. Students participate in a number of school programs outside the classroom which develop their social studies awareness.
