Model United Nations
was established at Belen Jesuit by Mr. Orlando Gutierrez-Boronat
of the Social Studies Department in 1993. After participating in
MUN conferences locally in Miami, the club expanded its
experiences by beginning the tradition of also traveling
out-of-town to attend conferences (Atlanta and
New York).
Mr. Thomas de Quesada ('94) became the
Moderator of Model United Nations in 1998. The club evolved
into a dynamic organization that featured dedicated participants
from Sixth to Twelfth Grades.
Ms. Ann Catherine Kenna became the third Model UN
Moderator in 2007.
