The Wolverine for a Day shadow visit gives prospective students the opportunity to find out more about our Jesuit tradition and our commitment to forming “men for others.” Spend the day with us and find out what makes Belen Jesuit stand out among other schools in the Miami-Dade area and in fact, the state of Florida.

Open only to eligible eighth-grade students registered to take the ISEE at Belen Jesuit. You may sign up through the My Belen portal.

    What can I expect on Wolverine Day?

    You will be paired with a current freshman and follow his schedule of classes for the day as you become acquainted with the life of a Belen Jesuit student.

    What should I wear to Wolverine Day?

    Guests should wear dress pants, a button-down shirt, and dress shoes.
  • Q.
    Where should I be dropped off and picked up?

    Wolverines for a Day will report to the school’s Main Office by no later than 7:45 a.m. to register and meet their guide. Parking and pick-up details will be shared in the days leading up the Shadow Day.

    What should I bring?

    Bring an open mind and enthusiasm as you will be experiencing all the programs Belen has to offer. 
Prospective 9th-grade students will be immersed in the Belen Jesuit Experience for the day. They will gain insights into the transformative experience a Jesuit education can be and how are students are called to be Men for Others - Tommy de Quesada, Ed.D. '94

Belen Jesuit Preparatory School was founded in 1854 in Havana, Cuba by Queen Isabel II of Spain.  The task of educating students was assigned to the priests and brothers of the Society of Jesus (the Jesuits), whose teaching tradition is synonymous with academic excellence and spiritual discipline.  In 1961, the new political regime of Cuba confiscated the School property and expelled the Jesuit faculty.  The School was re-established in Miami the same year, and over the next decade, continued to grow.  Today, Belen Jesuit sits on a 30-acre site in western Dade County, only minutes away from downtown Miami.
