National Senior Beta Club

The National Senior Beta Club is an organization that promotes the ideals of academic achievement and character and strives to develop leadership skills as well as encourages serving others. The moderator is Mrs. Marisol Sosa.
Membership is open to sophomores, juniors and seniors who have earned above a 3.0 GPA at Belen. Students must maintain their GPA as well as their commitment to service.

The Belen National Senior Beta Club continues motivating these well-rounded students by recognizing their achievement and service. In addition to being recognized in the Honor Societies’ induction ceremony, members will have the opportunity for national recognition which includes possible scholarship awards. 
The National Beta Club Mission Statement: To promote the ideals of character, service and leadership among secondary school students, to reward meritorious achievement and to encourage and assist students in continuing their education after high school.

Belen Jesuit Preparatory School was founded in 1854 in Havana, Cuba by Queen Isabel II of Spain.  The task of educating students was assigned to the priests and brothers of the Society of Jesus (the Jesuits), whose teaching tradition is synonymous with academic excellence and spiritual discipline.  In 1961, the new political regime of Cuba confiscated the School property and expelled the Jesuit faculty.  The School was re-established in Miami the same year, and over the next decade, continued to grow.  Today, Belen Jesuit sits on a 30-acre site in western Dade County, only minutes away from downtown Miami.
