Living Stations of the Cross
MIAMI- Belen Jesuit presents, "The Living Stations of the Cross" on Monday, April 3 at 7:00 p.m. This presentation will take place in various locations throughout the Belen Jesuit campus but begins in the Ignatian Center of the Arts Amphitheater & ends in the Garrido Family Plaza. All are welcome to attend.
“To witness HIS passion during the holiest time of the year helps students understand the sacrifice Jesus did for all of us,” said Jesuit Father Willie García-Tuñón, School President. “This representation of Jesus’ path from condemnation, crucifixion and resurrection is a solemn and prayerful gathering that will take place only a couple of days before the Holy Triduum (three-day celebration of the death and resurrection of Christ - Holy Thursday, Good Friday and Easter Vigil/Easter Sunday).”
Belen Jesuit Preparatory School is located at 500 SW 127 Avenue in Miami.
Over 50 students will act out the last 12 hours of Jesus’ life in this solemn presentation. Hundreds are expected to attend.

Belen Jesuit Preparatory School was founded in 1854 in Havana, Cuba by Queen Isabel II of Spain. The task of educating students was assigned to the priests and brothers of the Society of Jesus (the Jesuits), whose teaching tradition is synonymous with academic excellence and spiritual discipline. In 1961, the new political regime of Cuba confiscated the School property and expelled the Jesuit faculty. The School was re-established in Miami the same year, and over the next decade, continued to grow. Today, Belen Jesuit sits on a 30-acre site in western Dade County, only minutes away from downtown Miami.
