Annual Alumni Tour to Kick Off in NYC

Carlos Bravo ’86 | Alumni Association Executive Director
On the heels of a successful inaugural Alumni Tour, Father Willie will be joining me and the School’s Advancement & Alumni Relations Director to visit alumni who live outside of South Florida.
One of our goals in the Alumni Office is to reengage and maintain a strong relationship with our alumni. Our school is a special place and regardless of when we graduated our experiences and time we spent at Belen bring us closer.

Last year’s visit to New York City was a rising success with over seventy attendees. This year we would like to surpass it in order to share with more of you the future plans of our alma mater. I hope you take the time to join us once again and encourage others that may not have come last year.

Next month, we will be visiting NYC. Belen Jesuit and the Alumni Association will be hosting a reception at Xavier High School (30 W 16th Street, New York, NY 10011) on Saturday, October 21st at 6 p.m. The event will begin with a private mass in the student chapel, followed by dinner in the school’s Arrupe Library.

Please RSVP by October 5th by sending an email to cbravo@belenjesuit.org or by calling 786-621.4674.

Belen Jesuit Preparatory School was founded in 1854 in Havana, Cuba by Queen Isabel II of Spain.  The task of educating students was assigned to the priests and brothers of the Society of Jesus (the Jesuits), whose teaching tradition is synonymous with academic excellence and spiritual discipline.  In 1961, the new political regime of Cuba confiscated the School property and expelled the Jesuit faculty.  The School was re-established in Miami the same year, and over the next decade, continued to grow.  Today, Belen Jesuit sits on a 30-acre site in western Dade County, only minutes away from downtown Miami.
