TRI-M NATIONAL MUSIC HONOR SOCIETY
The Belen Jesuit chapter of the Tri-M National Music Honor Society recognizes musical talent and achievement. It encourages members to foster an awareness and appreciation for music in their communities. The mission of Tri M is to “inspire music participation, create enthusiasm for scholarship, stimulate a desire to render service, and promote leadership in the music students of secondary schools.”

To qualify for membership, the student must meet the following criteria:
- Be a high school student enrolled in a music course or extracurricular music club.
- A minimum unweighted cumulative GPA of 3.0
- No grade lower than a 1 in conduct and effort throughout the year
- Approval from the Humanities Department
To remain a member, a student must:
- Maintain a minimum unweighted cumulative GPA of 3.0
- Maintain a grade of 1 in conduct and effort throughout the year
- Attend Tri-M meetings and sponsored activities
- Complete 5 music-related service hours (in addition to the school’s yearly service hour requirement)
