The Belen Jesuit community proudly announces that four student-athletes signed their national letters of intent to play their sport at the collegiate level. The signing ceremony took place on December 20 at Belen Jesuit Preparatory School in the Sarría Family Dining Hall.
“These students are great examples of what hard work and dedication to their sport and academics can accomplish,” said Lázaro Fernández, Athletic Director. “We look forward to watching them flourish at the next level and will be cheering them on.”

“I am proud of each of these young men who, as true student-athletes, have achieved the Magis - both on the field or race course and in the classroom. Congratulations to them as well as to their families, coaches, and teachers who have supported their formation throughout their years at Belen,” said José E. Roca, Principal.
Belen Jesuit Preparatory School was founded in 1854 in Havana, Cuba, by Queen Isabel II of Spain. The task of educating students was assigned to the priests and brothers of the Society of Jesus (the Jesuits), whose teaching tradition is synonymous with academic excellence and spiritual discipline. In 1961, the new political regime of Cuba confiscated the school's property and expelled the Jesuit faculty. The School was re-established in Miami the same year, and over the next decade, continued to grow. Today, Belen Jesuit is situated on a 34-acre site in western Dade County, just minutes away from downtown Miami.
