Fundraising Events at Belen Jesuit

The fundraising events at Belen Jesuit help support the school's mission. These events include the Fr. Dorta- Duque, SJ Memorial Tombola, Fr. Izquierdo Memorial Golf Tournament, Fr. Sardina, S.J. Memorial Fishing Tournament and milestone Gala.

Other events throughout the school year are designed to promote school spirit and offer the school community entertainment and social opportunities. Alumni events promote unity and school spirit amongst our former students and families.

    "Over the Top" Gala

    Belen Jesuit will host a gala to celebrate its 170th anniversary and raise funds for the school’s Financial Assistance Program.

    The “Over the Top” Gala presented by My Father Cigars will be held at the JW Marriott Marquis on Saturday, November 2, 2024. 

    Sponsorship opportunities are listed on our gala website and will go on sale Tuesday, May 21 at 10:00 a.m.

Belen Jesuit Preparatory School was founded in 1854 in Havana, Cuba by Queen Isabel II of Spain.  The task of educating students was assigned to the priests and brothers of the Society of Jesus (the Jesuits), whose teaching tradition is synonymous with academic excellence and spiritual discipline.  In 1961, the new political regime of Cuba confiscated the School property and expelled the Jesuit faculty.  The School was re-established in Miami the same year, and over the next decade, continued to grow.  Today, Belen Jesuit sits on a 30-acre site in western Dade County, only minutes away from downtown Miami.
