College Counseling
Belen Jesuit is dedicated to guiding students and families through every step of the college search and admissions process. Our team of five full-time college counselors and an administrative assistant provides personalized guidance to help students identify colleges that align with their academic aspirations, spiritual beliefs, and financial needs.
From freshman year, each student is assigned a college counselor who stays with them through graduation. This long-term relationship fosters trust, allowing counselors to tailor their guidance to each student’s evolving needs.
Starting in freshman year, each student is paired with a dedicated college counselor who works with them through graduation. This ongoing relationship fosters trust, enabling counselors to provide personalized support that evolves to meet the student’s changing goals and needs. To assist families, Belen offers evening workshops and informational sessions beginning in freshman year.
Each year, over 200 college representatives participate in our College Fair, and more than 150 visit campus for small-group sessions. Sophomores, juniors, and seniors are also invited to participate in two annual College Tours, offering them a firsthand experience of prospective schools.

From initiating the college search to discerning the path that best aligns with their academic, spiritual, social, and financial needs, we guide students so that they may live out their purpose for the greater glory of God.

College Representative Campus Visits
Belen Jesuit Prep welcomes college representatives to campus in the Fall during our High School Flex Block (on B Days from 1:15-2:45 p.m.). There are two possible session times - 1:20 p.m. and 2:05 p.m. On select days, we will also offer a 12:30 p.m. visit time, an 8:50 a.m. visit time, and a 2:15 p.m. visit time, per our school schedule. A visit time can be requested here through SCOIR.Due to limitations with the availability of on-campus space and our students' academic schedules, we will be unable to accommodate all requests. Priority will be given to colleges and universities where three or more of our students have applied within the last five years.Contact Mrs. Cristina Negron atcnegron@belenjesuit.org with questions or request another visit time (if it can be accommodated)

Belen Jesuit Preparatory School was founded in 1854 in Havana, Cuba, by Queen Isabel II of Spain. The task of educating students was assigned to the priests and brothers of the Society of Jesus (the Jesuits), whose teaching tradition is synonymous with academic excellence and spiritual discipline. In 1961, the new political regime of Cuba confiscated the school's property and expelled the Jesuit faculty. The School was re-established in Miami the same year, and over the next decade, continued to grow. Today, Belen Jesuit is situated on a 34-acre site in western Dade County, just minutes away from downtown Miami.
