BConnected Revs Up

Teresa Martinez | Director of Communications
Revving up for a change, the Belen Alumni Association has begun the pre-registration phase for it’s new platform, BConnected on belenalumni.org. This new, innovative, dynamic platform is open to all Belen Alumni from around the world.

“The new name, BConnected, is meant to inspire Belen grads to get connected with each other, the alumni association and the school,” said Alumni Director Carlos Bravo ‘86. Bravo explained that it is user-friendly and simple to navigate and find specific alumni. He said alumni are also able to join groups such as one of the professional sections, network, job search or find a mentor.

The theme here is staying connected —  and strengthening the connections among alumni and the most effective way of doing that is through a social platform just for Belen where we can stay up to date and interact with members of our Belen community.

As an added incentive for alumni to pre-register on belenalumni.org, everyone who pre-registers before the official launch on April 2nd will automatically be entered into a contest to win either a camera, AirPods or Wolverine fan gear.

The goal of BConnected is to provide a one stop shop for all alumni needs - networking, mentorship, job search, event registration, etc. Register at www.belenalumni.org and see for yourself!

Belen Jesuit Preparatory School was founded in 1854 in Havana, Cuba by Queen Isabel II of Spain.  The task of educating students was assigned to the priests and brothers of the Society of Jesus (the Jesuits), whose teaching tradition is synonymous with academic excellence and spiritual discipline.  In 1961, the new political regime of Cuba confiscated the School property and expelled the Jesuit faculty.  The School was re-established in Miami the same year, and over the next decade, continued to grow.  Today, Belen Jesuit sits on a 30-acre site in western Dade County, only minutes away from downtown Miami.
