#BNetworked: Branger_Briz

Teresa Martinez | Director of Communications
With over 7,000 alumni around the world and as well as a reinvigorated desire to showcase our alumni, Belen launched #BNetworked in December 2018.

“The goal of #BNetworked is to highlight companies which are either alumni-owned or have a group of alumni who work together. We aim to showcase how the bonds formed at Belen, regardless of  graduation year, unite alumni in both their professional and personal lives,” said Carlos Bravo ‘86, Alumni Association Executive Director.

The next company to be profiled is Branger_Briz. This full-service digital agency is made up of artists, strategists, educators and programmers and is headquartered in Miami.

The following questions were answered by Ramon Branger '92, one of the firm's founders.

How many alumni work at the company? Currently two - Paul Briz and myself.  We are both partners in the firm and alumni from the class of 1992. In addition, we are partners in a startup founded by a Belen alumnus and helped create the Yteach startup with a current Belen student, who is the son of a Belen Alumni.

What are the advantages of working with fellow alumni? You know the quality of person you are working with. Working with people you can trust and have the same values as you is invaluable.

In summary, what does your company do? We are a creative digital agency. We conceptualize, design and develop and maintain innovative digital products.

Do you have any job openings? Yes, we are looking for web developers at the moment.

What are you most proud of (professionally)? The fact that we have been able to run this small business for over 13 years and have worked with a range of different types of businesses, from local small businesses to multinational corporations like Patagonia, Nike, Adidas, ESPN, Cartier and Burger King, to name a few.

Do you offer an alumni discount? Yes, we extended a friends and family rate to fellow Belen alumni.

The Belen alumni who work at the firm can be contacted by alumni via the BConnected platform on belenalumni.org.

Are you an alumnus with a company and have your Belen brothers working with you? Do you work at a company with several alumni? If so, we want to hear from you! Belen Jesuit Preparatory School was founded in 1854 in Havana, Cuba by Queen Isabel II of Spain.  The task of educating students was assigned to the priests and brothers of the Society of Jesus (the Jesuits), whose teaching tradition is synonymous with academic excellence and spiritual discipline.  In 1961, the new political regime of Cuba confiscated the School property and expelled the Jesuit faculty.  The School was re-established in Miami the same year, and over the next decade, continued to grow.  Today, Belen Jesuit sits on a 30-acre site in western Dade County, only minutes away from downtown Miami.
