#BNetworked: Jojo Tea

Teresa Martinez | Director of Communications
With over 7,500 alumni around the world and as well as a reinvigorated desire to showcase our alumni, Belen launched #BNetworked in December 2018.

“The goal of #BNetworked is to highlight companies which are either alumni-owned or have a group of alumni who work together. We aim to showcase how the bonds formed at Belen, regardless of  graduation year, unite alumni in both their professional and personal lives,” said Carlos Bravo ‘86, Alumni Association Executive Director.

The next company to be profiled is Jojo Tea. This company provides fine tea at its tasting room located at 951 SW LeJune Road, Suite 305 in Miami and at various locations around South Florida.

The following questions were answered by Alberto Flamini ’05, Transportation Manager.

Belen Jesuit Preparatory School was founded in 1854 in Havana, Cuba by Queen Isabel II of Spain.  The task of educating students was assigned to the priests and brothers of the Society of Jesus (the Jesuits), whose teaching tradition is synonymous with academic excellence and spiritual discipline.  In 1961, the new political regime of Cuba confiscated the School property and expelled the Jesuit faculty.  The School was re-established in Miami the same year, and over the next decade, continued to grow.  Today, Belen Jesuit sits on a 30-acre site in western Dade County, only minutes away from downtown Miami.
