Over 100 Belen Students Gain Real-World Experience Through Summer Internships
Claudia Basso | Director of Career Development
An example of an education meeting opportunity, Belen Jesuit wraps up another successful summer internship program. This summer, the program provided over 100 students with invaluable, hands-on experience in industries ranging from healthcare to technology and earned high marks from both students and host organizations.
The summer internship program, part of the Department of Career Development, matches juniors and seniors with local businesses and organizations in our community. Through this program, students gain not only job-specific skills but also mentorship and insight into potential career paths.
This year’s participating companies provided students with immersive roles, ranging from learning software programs to content creation, patient care to legal research, and investment analysis to construction management. We thank the following companies for their desire to be part of our program, work with our students to enhance their resumes, and offer an opportunity like no other.

Belen Jesuit Preparatory School was founded in 1854 in Havana, Cuba, by Queen Isabel II of Spain. The task of educating students was assigned to the priests and brothers of the Society of Jesus (the Jesuits), whose teaching tradition is synonymous with academic excellence and spiritual discipline. In 1961, the new political regime of Cuba confiscated the school's property and expelled the Jesuit faculty. The School was re-established in Miami the same year, and over the next decade, continued to grow. Today, Belen Jesuit is situated on a 34-acre site in western Dade County, just minutes away from downtown Miami.
