Change is a natural part of growth, but at Belen Jesuit, growth always serves a higher purpose.
For decades, the old campus pool was a place of hard work, athletic dedication, and loud cheers. Today, that same footprint has been beautifully transformed into the Arroyo Quad—a lush, serene, and vibrant green space designed to foster community, reflection, and connection.
This physical transformation perfectly mirrors our Jesuit mission of cura personalis, or care for the whole person. While the old pool tested physical limits, the Arroyo Quad offers our Wolverines a place to nourish the mind and soul. It is a space where students can study together, share a laugh between classes, or sit in quiet contemplation, finding God in all things.
The pool may have given way to lawns and shaded walkways, but the heart of what made this space special remains unchanged. It is still a place for brotherhood. Whether our students are discussing a group project, catching up before practice, or simply enjoying the beauty of campus, the Arroyo Quad stands as a testament to our ongoing efforts to better serve the spiritual and academic formation of our young men.
Next time you are on campus, take a moment to walk through the Quad, breathe in the fresh air, and appreciate this incredible new chapter in Belen’s history.
Moments like this transformation do not happen by chance—they are made possible through the generosity of our community. By supporting the Fund for Belen, you help ensure that our campus continues to grow in ways that form not only strong students, but also good men for others. We invite you to be part of that mission and help shape what comes next. Visit www.belenjesuit.org/the-fund-for-belen for more information and to make a gift.
