FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE
Belen Jesuit Preparatory School makes financial assistance available to all students who attend the school regardless of race, color, creed, disability or national origin. The Financial Assistance Program provides hardship assistance. Hardship assistance is determined based on financial need, after the evaluation of the financial assistance application. Belen Jesuit does not award academic or athletic merit-based scholarships.
Belen Jesuit awards financial assistance based on demonstrated need to families of accepted students in grades 6 through 12, and assists families of qualified students who would benefit from the school’s program, but who otherwise would not be able to afford to attend. The student’s admissions process is separate from the financial assistance application, ensuring that the student is considered on his own merits, not the family’s ability to pay tuition.
Awards are given for one year and are not intended to cover 100% of the cost of attending Belen. Families must reapply each year.
To assist the school's Financial Assistance Committee in determining financial need, the school uses Clarity, an outside service that collects and processes all financial assistance paperwork. Our committee promptly reviews all completed applications and the corresponding documents.
If you need help completing your application, in-app support is available through the “Help” button located at the bottom left of the screen. Additionally, email and phone support are available at support@clarityapp.com or 206-210-3752, in both English and Spanish. The application itself is also fully translated into Spanish.

DIVORCED / SEPARATED OR SINGLE PARENTS
Should a parent seek financial assistance for their child, the custodial and non-custodial parents must complete separate Clarity applications. Belen Jesuit considers the assets and income of both parents, if living, before considering any award.
For divorced parents, a copy of the divorce decree must be emailed to financialaid@belenjesuit.org.
STEP UP SCHOLARSHIPS
Belen Jesuit is a participating school in the Step-Up Scholarship Program. Parents applying for financial aid at Belen Jesuit must apply for the Step Up scholarship. Please check the websites for the application dates for 2026-2027.
Notice to parents enrolling students under the FES-UA scholarship: Please note that our school accommodates students with disabilities in accordance with federal and local laws. However, your child may not necessarily receive the types of accommodations or related services he may be entitled to receive at a public school, as public schools have different obligations under the IDEA. The IDEA does not apply to private schools. We are happy to have a conversation with you about the accommodations your son may need and those we may be able to provide at our school.
