Class of 2033 Welcomed to the Brotherhood Through
The Ignatian Way

On August 18, the Class of 2033 spent a special day on campus for the Ignatian Way program, marking a meaningful step in their journey as Belen Jesuit's newest Wolverines. This year marks the second year of the Ignatian Way program.

Throughout the morning, our sixth graders learned four essential habits to guide them through their time at Belen: to Learn, Lead, Pray, and Persevere like St. Ignatius of Loyola. These habits, rooted in Ignatian spirituality, will serve as a foundation for their growth as students and as young men of faith.

“The Ignatian Way was designed to anchor our sixth-grade students in faith, leadership, and resilience right from the start,: said Patricia A. Bustamante, Assistant Principal for the Middle School. “We pray that St. Ignatius of Loyola intercedes for them throughout their years at Belen and inspires them to do everything for God’s greater glory”.

The day concluded with the Brotherhood Initiation Ceremony, held in the Our Lady of Belen Chapel, where each member of the Class of 2033 received his first Belen pin. Fittingly, the pins were presented by members of the Class of 2027, creating a powerful moment of mentorship between Belen's oldest and youngest students and welcoming them into the Belen brotherhood.

May this pin always serve as a reminder of the commitment these young men made before Christ and one another: a commitment to learn, lead, pray, and persevere, together, as brothers. Click here to see the photo album.
