Belen Jesuit Preparatory School is pleased to announce that Miami native Randy Borges will join the school as its next Executive Director of Technology. He begins on December 7 and will work closely with Mrs. Carol Vila during the transition.

Mr. Borges was chosen after a three-month search. The search committee worked closely with the school’s leadership team to find the right person to lead this important role.

Mr. Borges brings more than 20 years of experience helping South Florida organizations use technology to solve business challenges. Most recently, he served as Director of IT Risk Advisory at Verdeja & Alvarez, LLP. There, his work spanned technology strategy, cybersecurity, governance, enterprise systems and business continuity. Earlier in his career, he held technology leadership roles at the University of Miami, Baptist Health South Florida and Intercredit Bank.

“I’m convinced Mr. Borges understands the vision and mission of Belen Jesuit,” said Fr. Willie García-Tuñón, S.J. ’87, President of Belen Jesuit. “With the rapid pace of technological advances and the expansion of artificial intelligence, Belen must remain at the forefront of innovation and the latest cybersecurity protocols. Mr. Borges will help us advance our mission through meaningful innovation in teaching, learning and operations.”

"It is a blessing to join such a wonderful community at Belen Jesuit," says Mr. Borges. "I look forward to working alongside and supporting its faculty, staff, and administration as we guide our students in becoming men for others."

Mr. Borges succeeds Mrs. Vila, who has served Belen with passion for more than 50 years. Please join us in welcoming Mr. Borges to the Wolverine Nation!
